I, Kenny Muir, am a BC certified Kinesiologist and am certified in several of the top world wide health and fitness disciplines including FRA (Functional Range Assessment), FRC (Functional Range Conditioning), CHEK Practitioner, Olympic Lifting Coach & Metabolic Analytics Practitioner. I founded Kenny Muir Holistic Fitness to provide one-on-one personalized elite holistic training for people looking to enhance their physical fitness.  As a multi disciplined Holistic Fitness Practitioner, I am able to correct many injuries and improve muscle strength and stability through proven training programs, as well as create challenging programs that will get my clients to achieve their potential in sport or life. This training is done in a private gym located in False Creek, Vancouver, BC, providing a comfortable and safe environment. 

I have successfully participated in many types and disciplines of competitive sports, most notably middle distance running and collegiate basketball. I currently compete in Sprint/Olympic Triathlons and Trail Races across British Columbia.  My education, training and experiences enable me to successfully coach individuals at all levels, from amateur to elite athletes. 

WHAT IS Functional Range Assessment (FRA)?

FRA was developed by Dr. Andreo Spina and Dr. Michael Chivers. This assessment is utilized by many of the top professional and amateur sports programs. It is assessment that is used to find how the joint functions as an independent joint with priority of what the movement is based on the articulation of that joint. It will give the client a good idea of where their joint health is currently at. Then once you know where your current joint health is, you can then move forward in planning a personalized program for your specific needs. 


FRC was developed by Dr. Andreo Spina and Dr. Michael Chivers. FRC uses several techniques to help improve joint mobility, articular strength and to improve neurological control of the joints. This is scientifically developed and proven method to re-establish control over your joint health. When your joints are healthy in the micro movements that they were designed for, your macro movements will improve as well increase the joints resiliency to internal and external stress. 


A CHEK Practitioner is knowledgeable in several fields of health and fitness, such as orthopedics, corrective exercise, massage therapy, alternative therapies and strength training.  A CHEK professionals approach to health and fitness is all-inclusive. This is supported by the type and scope of assessments used to determine core and autonomic nervous system dysfunctions, viewing the body synergistically by the sum of its parts and stresses precise exercise technique to ensure desired outcomes are met. This comprehensive approach allows a CHEK Practitioner to accurately assess the most complex clients and provide a scientifically sound program to achieve exceptional results. 

What is Metabolic analytics?

Metabolic Analytics is created by world renowned strength coach and functional medicine practitioner Charles Poliquin.  Through 30 years of blood testing and skin fold data of various olympic and professional athletes, and every day joe, Charles has developed an algorithm that relates where one stores body fat to what hormonal system is not functioning optimally. Through measuring 14 different skin folds using specific specialized callipers and placing these measurements into the algorithm you can accurately assess how to lose body fat most efficiently through an individualized nutrition and supplementation plan.

A CHEK Holistic Life Coach understands the relationship between food and lifestyle habits and has the tools to recognize and create individualized eating plans to improve their client’s health and overall wellness. In addition, a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach understands the important roles that sleep, food quality, stress reduction techniques, and exercise play in improving the health of their clients and learn practical methods that initiate valuable lifestyle changes.


Kinesiology is the study of the anatomy, physiology and mechanics of body movement, specifically in humans.  A Kinesiologist takes the above mentioned theories and applies these to improve the mechanical efficiency of the human body.
